PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical member, which is used for optical communication equipment to filter out light of specified wavelength of light from an optical fiber and reflects a portion of the light, from curving. SOLUTION: The optical member 10 is in a flat plate shape formed by sandwiching an optical thin film 11 between substrates 12 and 13, which have mechanical strength. Thus, the optical thin film 11 is sandwiched between the substrates 12 and 13 to correct stress due to a difference in thermal expansion, thereby preventing the optical member from curving.
