PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit that can avoid the generation of a nick in a top plate by a guide wall arranging a seal member, by preventing a dent from occurring in the top plate even if a load is applied to the top plate. SOLUTION: A partition plate 5 is vertically installed on a bottom plate 3 forming a casing, a heat exchange chamber A storing a heat exchanger 15 and a blower 17 and a machine room B storing a compressor 9 are formed through the partition plate, and an electrical box 13 is generally horizontally installed at the top of the partition plate. A pair of guide walls 59A and 59B opposed to each other through a specified interval are installed on the top surface 55 of the electrical box, a seal material 57 partitioning watertight the heat exchange chamber side from the machine room side is installed between the guide walls, and a top plate 23 forming the casing is disposed on the seal material. A plurality of rib members 63A to 63D supporting the top plate from the underside are installed on the top surface 55 of the electrical box so as to be faced in a direction crossing the guide walls.
