Control unit for a vehicle drive unit has a modular design with modules (ASW, CO, DE) in which related function units are collected. Between the modules are module interfaces (M1-M6) to permit module overlapping communication. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer program for a control unit with program code for implementing function units, components or modules and communication between them.
