Method for determining the forces acting on an air-filled tire, whereby deformation of the tire is measured and the forces acting on the tire determined from the measured values. Additionally the deformation of at least a further tire is measured and the measured values also used to determine forces acting on the first tire. Optimally measurement from all tires are combined with the forces acting on the first tire approximated as a linear combination of all the measured values.
