<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make more proper a charge to the execution of a print job by a print job execution device. <P>SOLUTION: When a print server 32 of the print job execution device 30 accepts a print job specified with an immediate print mode from client computers 90a, 90b, the print server 32 makes a printer 60 start printing as soon as the printer 60 comes into a printable state. When accepting a print job specified with a lump-sum print mode, the print server 32 holds the print job in a job spooler 34 until the number of pages become a prescribed number, and makes the printer 60 continuously execute printing in a lump. A charging management device 20 executes a charging process such that a charging amount to the printing of the print job set with the lump-sum print mode becomes smaller than a charging amount to the printing of the print job set with the immediate print mode. When the printer 60 is made to execute the printing by the lump-sum print mode, frequency of preparation operation before the printing becomes small to reduce running costs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
