<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of efficiently outputting image data that have been read, in a short period of time by selecting the most suitable image processing device that ultimately takes the least printing processing time, in consideration of time required to return to a state where printing is enabled from the present state of a power saving mode, since the returning time is required even though the image processing device is equipped with a high-speed printing function. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing system is featured by the fact that when a control means 101 of a general-purpose computer 100 capable of managing an image processing state by communicating with a plurality of image processing devices each equipped with a read function and a printing function controls an image processing of each image processing device, a state acquiring means 102 monitors the state and manages state information, and based on the acquired state information, an image forming device selecting means 103 automatically selects the image forming device to print the image data that have been read. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
