<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing tray of excessive length of a coated optical fiber by which the fall-out of the connection part of the coated optical fiber housed in a housing recessed part 26 is suppressed in the housing tray of the excessive length of the coated optical fiber which is provided with the holding part 18 of the connection part to hold the connection part of the coated optical fiber, and an excessive length housing part to house the excessive length, where the holding part 18 of the connection part is constituted of a partition wall 28 erected so as to form the housing recessed part 26 of the connection part on a bottom plate 14, and of an elastic piece 30 formed so as to be obliquely extended in the housing recessed part 26 from one side of the partition wall 28 of the housing recessed part 26. <P>SOLUTION: The length of the elastic piece 30 extended from both ends of the partition wall 28c is made longer on an upper arm side from the part of the free end of the elastic piece 30 coming into contact with the connection part than on a lower arm side (the side of the bottom plate 14) from that.
