PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film showing a superior gas barrier property under a highly humid condition and enhancing the gas barrier property and a peeling resistance of a sealing layer after a boiling treatment in a case of arranging a sealing layer. SOLUTION: The gas barrier film is constituted by a laminated body containing a substrate layer of a thermoplastic resin film and a gas barrier layer comprising a hydrolyzed compound of silicon alkoxide of 90-500 pts.wt. in term of SiO<SB>2</SB>, phyllosilicate of 10-150 pts.wt. and a carboxylic acid compound of the general formula, HOOC-(CR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>)<SB>n</SB>-COOH of 0.01-10 pts.wt. per a polyvinyl alcohol resin film of 100 pts.wt.
