PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling structure between an optical element and an optical fiber which is low in cost and surely conducts transmission of light between the element and the fiber. SOLUTION: A coupling structure 1000 which is used to couple an optical element and an optical fiber includes an optical element 100 that includes an optical surface 180, an optical fiber 120 and a coupling section 140 that is joined with an end face 120a of the fiber 120 and the surface 180.
