PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing of an apparatus by bringing a primary transfer position and a secondary transfer position into a close proximity and to suppress image quality trouble occurring due to plunging in of paper by having the paper smoothly enter into the secondary transfer position. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 11, on which surface a toner image is formed, an intermediate transfer belt 15 transferring the toner image on the photoreceptor drum 11 through the primary transfer part and transferring the transferred toner image to paper through the second transfer part and a wrap out roll 23, which is abutted to the back surface of the intermediate transfer belt 15 and applying tension to the intermediate transfer belt 15 are provided. The wrap out roll 23 forms the primary transfer part by having the intermediate transfer belt 15 abutted wrapped to the photoreceptor drum 11, furthermore, a flat surface part is formed toward the secondary transfer part and is provided in a projection area facing the photoreceptor drum 11 from the secondary transfer roll 16.
