PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection control device capable of smooth starting of a compression ignition internal combustion engine by adjusting a fuel injection timing so that injected fuel may be ignited near compression ignition top dead center, in starting the compression ignition internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This start control device, controlling the fuel injection timing in the compression ignition internal combustion engine on the basis of at least an engine speed within a starting period of the compression ignition internal combustion engine, comprises injection timing correction means (S105, S106, S107, S108) for correcting the fuel injection timing in the compression ignition internal combustion engine to its retard angle side on the basis of variations in the engine speed if the engine speed lowers or is in a slowdown within the starting period of the compression ignition internal combustion engine.
