PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-assisted bicycle capable of providing auxiliary power as desired even if pedals are not continuously nor constantly worked. SOLUTION: When pedals 15 are worked and accelerated, acceleration thereof is calculated and auxiliary power according to the acceleration is generated by an electric motor 6. The acceleration is registered in a storage part 29. When acceleration larger than the acceleration registered in the storage part 29 is calculated by working the pedals 15 at a higher speed, the auxiliary power is increased in response to the larger acceleration, but the magnitude of the auxiliary power is not changed even when the working of the pedals 15 is stopped.
