It is possible to provide an image display device preventing erroneous operation of input means arranged at one or both of the front center and periphery of a display unit. The display unit (1) is supported by a stand (2). The input means for performing input for changing the display image displayed on a display screen (S) of the display unit (1) through a control device (15) is arranged at one or both of the display screen (S) and the periphery (4) of the display unit (1). A guard (31) for preventing erroneous operation of the input means is arranged to protrude so as to provide a predetermined interval between the guard and the front surface of the display unit (1). The upper limit of the height of the guard (31) is set so as not to interfere view of a user viewing the display screen (S) from the front.
