The invention relates to a radio communication adapter (1, 11) which provides a data exchange link between a first master-type computer device and at least one second peripheral-type computer device, the adapter being connected to said at least one second device. According to the invention, the adapter comprises a radio transmitter/receiver module (2) using the Bluetooth<(R)> protocol with a Bluetooth<(R)> protocol stack, at least one interface controller with a wire connector which connects to the second device(s) and a self-contained electrochemical power supply source (5), said power source (5) supplying the second device(s). The invention also relates to an adapter and to a communication system for the exchange of data.
