<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular magnetic material large in the ratio of change in magnetic susceptibility to a temperature in the vicinity of room temperature and not having a temperature hysteresis characteristic, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The molecular magnetic material is described by K<SB>x</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>[Fe(CN)<SB>6</SB>].zH<SB>2</SB>O, wherein 0.44≤x≤0.58, 1.18≤y≤1.24, and 4.17≤z≤5.54. For manufacturing the molecular magnetic material, a water solution comprising CoCl<SB>2</SB>and KCl and a water solution comprising K<SB>3</SB>[Fe(CN)<SB>6</SB>] and KCl are mixed, and the mixture is left for a prescribed period of time for the precipitation of a product to be combined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
