<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable three-dimensional vision, without using a special tool such as a liquid crystal glasses or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A three-dimensional image display system 10 comprises an three-dimensional image signal generating device 13 for generating a signal that causes an image imaged by a first and a second imaging means 16 and 17 for making the image displayed three-dimensionally; and a three-dimensional image display device 14 for displaying the image from the three-dimensional image signal generating device 13 so that it can be seen three-dimensionally. A depth signal generating means 22 generates a depth image signal, based on the difference in the electrical signals caused by a parallax in each image signal from the first and second imaging means 16 and 17. The depth image signal is pulse-code modulated, and then is coupled to a depth direction synchronization signal which is generated separately. The three-dimensional image display device 14 comprises a display means 27 which is comprised of a plurality of light-emitting screens 29. In the display means 27, the light-emitting screens 29 are spaced at a predetermined interval in the depth direction, such that the light-emitting portions can be varied within the three dimension, based on the depth image signal or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
