<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a subject image as it is at a side opposite to the subject and to display a mirror image toward the subject side with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A digital still camera main body is provided with a liquid crystal panel displayable from both a photographer side and the subject side to form a first space area 14 and a second space area 20 for mounting a back light unit 24. When the subject image is displayed as a noninverted image, the back light unit 24 is mounted in the first space area 14.
