<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make control related to an post-exhaustion treating device suitable by appropriately estimating temperature of the post-exhaustion treating device such as a catalyst or a DPF. <P>SOLUTION: An output gas temperature of the DPF 41 with oxidation catalyst is detected by an exhaust temperature sensor 52. When an ECU 61 calculates an estimated value of a temperature (DPF temperature) of the DPF 41 with oxidation catalyst based on the output of the exhaust temperature sensor 52, accuracy of the estimated value is required in a calculation of a PM depositing amount used for controlling regenerating treatment of the DPF 41, so that the temperature estimated value is calculated using an inverse transfer function of output gas temperature variation with respect to the DPF temperature variation. Responsiveness is required for the DPF temperature used for preventing control of over rising of temperature of the DPF 41, so that output gas temperature after a waste time L is predicted based on a plurality of nearest output gas temperatures, and the temperature estimated value is calculated from the estimated value using the inverse transfer function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
