METHOD FOR SETTING SPECIFICATIONS OF MOTOR WITH BRUSH AND BRUSH SPRING IN ITS MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the necessary output of a motor with brush without lowering assembling properties. SOLUTION: One ends of brush springs 13 each for pushing the brush 12 to a commutator 7 are received by the supports 11a of brush holders 11 opposed to each other. A distance between the supports 11a is previously set. The initial value and the final value of the length size of each of the brush springs 13 is previously set. The range of the elastic force of the brush spring 13 is set based on the relationship between the previously obtained loss torque and the elastic force and the relationship between the output of the motor and the elastic force so that the loss torque of the motor based on the friction between the brush 12 and the commutator 7 becomes a previously set upper limit value or less and the output of the motor becomes a previously set lower limit value or more. The spring constant of the brush spring 13 is set so that the range of the set elastic force is satisfied and the free length of the brush spring 13 becomes the distance or more from the support 11a to the rotating axial center O of the motor.
