PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform halftone processing at high speed even though the halftone processing can not be consequently performed at high speed because a color processing module uses a general-purpose halftone logic to perform halftone processing so that optimum processing can not be applied to various dither patterns of different sizes. SOLUTION: Information of a dither pattern to be used is acquired from a memory in which a plurality of halftone logics are stored in accordance with a plurality of dither patterns, information of the dither patterns and the plurality of dither patterns (S40). A halftone logic corresponding to the acquired information is selected (S41 to S413), and the selected halftone logic is used to apply halftone processing to the entire input image.
