PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil scattering preventing device of an engine capable of preventing oil wound up by rotation of a chain from scattering toward the above part of a cylinder head. SOLUTION: The engine 1 comprises a camshaft 18 arranged on the cylinder head 2, a sprocket 24 disposed at an end of the camshaft 18, and the chain 26 hung on the sprocket 24. An oil shielding member 30 for shielding the oil wound up by rotation of the chain 26 and scattering toward the above part of the cylinder head 2 is disposed.
