PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor for sorting an article capable of smoothly moving a movement unit along a guide member and preventing damage of the movement unit. SOLUTION: The conveyor 10 for sorting an article is provided with a mounting base member 40 fixed to a chain 14; a guide member 20 fixed to the mounting base member 40; the movement unit 50 movable in a longitudinal direction of the guide member 20; an extrusion pressing out mechanism 102 for urging the movement unit 50; and an engagement mechanism 103 for retaining the movement unit 50 at a position close to the mounting base member 40. The movement unit 50 is provided with a unit body 51; an upper roller 60; a lower roller 62; a guide roller 70 touchable on a guide rail for sorting; and side rollers 80, 81 provided on both side walls 52, 53 of the unit body 51. The side rollers 80, 81 are rolling-contacted with a front surface 20a and a rear surface 20b of the guide member 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
