PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide scissors allowing smooth cutting without hesitation when paper or cloth having a length longer than blades of the scissors is cut by continuously meshing the blades. SOLUTION: The scissor provided with the knocking boss with adjustable length is provided with the knocking boss 2 of which length is adjustable on a handle 1 of the scissor. When the scissors are used with the boss extended longer, the distance between the contact points of the bosses of two handles becomes short so that the two blades stop engaging to a nearer side away from the tips of the blades and are kept a little open.
