<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single point water supply system used for a lead acid storage battery having a plurality of battery cell access ports. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a plurality of replenishment valves, (i) at least one water supply pipe 52 having one outside port 54, 56 and a plurality of exits of which each one respectively communicates with one of the plural replenishment valves, (ii) manifold 26, 28 which house a flame arrestor 30 and have at least one channel for exhausting the gas from the battery cell to the surrounding environment through the flame arrestor only.
