<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MnZn ferrite that has a high electrical resistance and can obtain good soft magnetism even in a high frequency range of >1 MHz. <P>SOLUTION: When the Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and Mn<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>contents of this MnZn ferrite are suppressed to <50 mol% and a trace amount (≤0.8 mol%), respectively, this ferrite does not cause abnormal grain growth and can obtain a high electrical resistance at which the specific resistance becomes ≥1.5×10<SP>4</SP>Ωm and the surface resistance becomes ≥1.5×10<SP>7</SP>Ω, even when the content of CaO is increased from 0.20 mass% as a secondary component.
