PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater capable of instantaneously supplying the hot water only by being energized when necessary without wasting the energy, and being incorporated in a narrow space by changing the shape with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This heater for heating the fluid is constituted by connecting end parts of an inner pipe 2 from which a lead part 1a of a heating wire 1 accommodated inside of the inner pipe sealed at its both end parts, is led out to the external, and an outer pipe 3 thicker than the inner pipe 2, by a connecting part 4a of a cap member 4 closing both end parts of an opening of the outer pipe 3, and forming an inflow port and an outflow port at longitudinal both end part sides of the outer pipe 3. The cap member 4 is separated into the connecting part 4a for connecting the inner pipe 2 and the outer pipe 3, and an insulating part 4b for supporting the lead part 1a of the heating wire 1 led out to the external from the inner pipe 2, in an insulated state.
