PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving metal fitting for preventing a falling object from a roof, which enables a stopper material with a required length to be installed near the edge of eaves on the roof in the repair of the roof and the like with only simple troubles. SOLUTION: Fixing members 5 and 6 for fastening and fixing a metal fitting body 1 to the edge of the eaves of the roof are provided on the opposed surfaces of horizontal members 3 and 4 of the fitting body 1 wherein the paired upper and lower horizontal members 3 and 4 overhang one side of a vertical member 2 in such a manner that an interval between the horizontal members 3 and 4 is set long enough to allow the intervention of the edge of the eaves of the roof, and a supporting part 7 for a falling-object stopping material is provided at the tip of the upper horizontal member 3.
