PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device of vehicles for operating a parking brake while a shift lever is positioned at a parking range position. SOLUTION: In the shift device 1 of vehicles for an automatic transmission, a shift lever 2 is connected to a cable 10 for braking, and the cable 10 for braking is tensioned for operating the parking brake when the shift lever 2 travels from a reverse range position adjacent to the parking range position to the parking range position.
