<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevnts the density of a developed image from being lowered just after a power source is turned on and just after a sleeping state is released. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a photoreceptor drum 13, a supply roller 17, a developing roller 18, a blade 19, a speed change clutch 43 for changing the rotating speed of the developing roller 18, and a speed change clutch 44 for changing the rotating speed of the supply roller 17. Just after the power source is turned on, or just after the sleeping state is released, in reply to instructions from a printer controller 12, the rotating speed of the developing roller 18 is set higher by operating the speed change clutch 43 so that a rotating speed difference between the photoreceptor drum 13 and the developing roller 18 may become large, and also, the rotating speed of the supply roller 17 is set higher by operating the speed change clutch 44 so that a rotating speed difference between the photoreceptor 13 and the supply roller 17 may become large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
