<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sarcosine oxidase which is obtained by modifying a protein having a sarcosine oxidase activity by a protein engineering means and has improved stability in a liquid state, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide the use of the same. <P>SOLUTION: This modified sarcosine oxidase is characterized by its being a protein which is obtained by subjecting at least one amino acid of an amino acid sequence constituting a protein having a sarcosine oxidase activity to a deletion, insertion or replacement treatment to convert the protein, has the sarcosine oxidase activity and has more improved stability in a liquid state than that of the unconverted protein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
