<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission capable of avoiding impossibility of power transmission. <P>SOLUTION: This toroidal continuously variable transmission is provided with a metallic input side disc 9, a metallic output side disc 11, and a metallic power roller 13 coming into rolling-contact with the input side disc 9 and the output side disc 11 through lubricating oil.
