INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM AND INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the immunity to attacks and the operating rate of an entire information providing service by localizing a damage of an information providing system due to an external access of illegitimate purpose via a broadband computer network.

SOLUTION: This information providing system includes: a plurality of server entities C1to C5to which the same network identifier is assigned and for providing a service S to users on a broadband network; and routers R1to R10each having an ordinary path control processing table for defining path control processing from one network on the broadband network to another network and a path control processing table for defining path control processing applied to information whose destination is the prescribed network identifier, the routers refering to the tables to carry out the path control processing thereby physically dividing objects in a prescribed unit to which the prescribed service S is provided.
