<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metallic compound used as a component of an addition polymerization catalyst excellent in polymerization activity, to obtain the component of the addition polymerization catalyst, comprising the metallic compound, to produce the addition polymerization catalyst given by using the component of the addition polymerization catalyst, and to provide a method for producing an addition polymer by using the addition polymerization catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The metallic compound is obtained by contacting components (a) to (c) with each other, wherein the component (b) comprising a compound expressed by R<SP>1</SP><SB>s-1</SB>TH (R<SP>1</SP>is an electron attractive group or a group containing an electron attractive group; T is a nonmetallic atom belonging to the 15 group or the 16 group in the periodic table; and (s) is a valence of T) is contacted and treated with the component (a) comprising a compound expressed by BiL<SP>1</SP><SB>r</SB>(L<SP>1</SP>is H, a halogen, a hydrocarbon radical or a hydrocarbonoxy radical; and (r) is a valence of Bi) in an amount of 0.1-8 mol per mol of the component (a), and the component (c) comprising a compound expressed by R<SP>2</SP><SB>3-n</SB>J(OH)<SB>n</SB>(R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrocarbon radical; J is an atom belonging to the 13 group in the periodic table; and (n) is 2 or 3) is contacted and treated with the component (a) in an amount of 0.6-8 mol per mol of the component (a). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
