PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk, in which data having a capacity larger than a specified storage capacity are written, an optical disk unit and a writing method of the optical disk capable of writing the data having the capacity larger than the specified storage capacity into the optical disk, and the optical disk unit and a reading method of the optical disk for reading out the data from the optical disk written with the data having the capacity larger than the specified storage capacity. SOLUTION: The method includes a wobble CLV control step for controlling a rotation speed of the optical disk D so that a wobble period read by rotating the optical disk D becomes a prescribed period, and a data writing step for writing the data with the recording density different from the recording density determined in accordance with the preformat information by writing the data into the optical disk D rotationally controlled with the wobble CLV control step, at the recording period different from the recording period of the data determined from the prescribed period of the above wobble.
