PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for an optical component which makes it easy to adjust the attitude of the optical component, an optical unit, and a projector. SOLUTION: The case for the optical component is equipped with a lower case wherein a plurality of optical components are installed and an upper light guide 472 as a lid type upper case which opens and closes the lower case. On the top surface of the upper light guide 472, a holding frame support surface 4471A which is formed as an arcuate curved surface including the optical axis of illumination of luminous flux in the center and rotatably holds a correcting plate holding frame 446 holding the optical components and an adjusting member tip support part 4472 which supports the tip of a driver DR as a rod type adjusting member adjusting the position of the optical components and serves as a fulcrum when the driver DR moves. The correcting plate holding frame 446 abuts against a flank of the driver DR and slides on the holding frame support surface 4471A in the moving direction of the driver DR centered at the adjusting member tip support part 4472.
