PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degaussing circuit in which a degaussing operation is started at a moment when an input AC voltage is zero, in order to avoid magnetization caused by a peak current resulting from the AC transient phenomenon. SOLUTION: In the degaussing circuit provided with a serially connected degaussing coil 14, a positive characteristic thermistor 13, a power switch 12 and a switch element 21, the degaussing circuit is provided with a detection circuit part 24 for inputting an AC voltage from an AC power source 11, shaping a waveform of the AC voltage, and converting it into a clock signal for outputting, and a control circuit part 25 which inputs the clock signal and turning on the switch element 21 matching the timing when the clock signal is inputted.
