A drive device capable of displaying accurate time even when an electromagnetic generator and an electromagnetic motor are combined in the device or even while the device is receiving a standard long wave. Further, the device has a simplified circuit structure. A generating portion (1A) converts kinetic energy to electric energy through electromagnetic induction. A secondary battery (1C) stores the electric energy converted by the generating portion (1A). A time-displaying mechanism (5) displays time information by a mechanical mechanism by using, as a drive source, a piezoelectric actuator (41) to which the electric energy in the secondary battery (1C) is fed. Alternatively, a receiving circuit portion receives time information from the outside at predetermined intervals through an antenna, and a timer portion sequentially renews current time information by using, as a reference point, time that corresponds to the time information received by the receiving circuit portion. Then the timer portion displays time information by the mechanical mechanism based on the current time information. The display is made parallel to or independent of receiving operation at the receiving circuit portion. A second component-driving piezoelectric actuator and hour/minute component-driving piezoelectric actuator are used as drive sources for the display.
