The artificial turf (14) may have fibers 50 mm long simulating grass and may have a filling of quartz sand and rubber granules. The elastic layer (13) is 35 mm thick. A square m of the material incorporates 15 kg stone chippings 3-8 mm diameter (47% by weight, 26 vol. %), granular material 2-7 mm diameter (47% by weight, 68 vol. %) and 2 kg binding material (6% by weight, 6 vol. %). The upper unbound support layer (12b) has a total thickness of 10 mm, 8 mm over the polyethylene heating pipes which are laid 20 cm apart. The lower support layer (12a) rests on the surface (E) of the subsoil (F). A standard drainage system with pipes (G) is installed.
