<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately detecting toner residual amount in a toner container. <P>SOLUTION: An actual value measured in filling the toner container 100 with toner is recorded as toner filling amount (m) in the nonvolatile memory 101 of the toner container 100. Furthermore, toner supply amount (n) and the number of toner supply times (i) in supplying toner from the container 100 to a developing device 110 are recorded therein, and a CPU 105 reads out the toner filling amount (m), the number of toner supply times (i), and the toner supply amount (n) recorded in the memory 101, and calculates the toner residual amount (l) in the container 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
