<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the product cost before manufacture with accuracy satisfying a designer. <P>SOLUTION: This cost calculator is composed of an input device 1 for inputting product data and cost data by various cost generating element units; an arithmetic operation part 40, and an output device 29 having a display function. The arithmetic operation part 40 includes: a cost generating element set data generating means 41 for generating two or more sets of cost generating elements from the product data; a maximum value and minimum value totalizing means 42 for calculating the maximum value and the minimum value of cost concerning the respective sets; and a maximum value and minimum value select means 43 for selecting the maximum value selected from the minimum values of cost totalized about the respective sets and the minimum value selected from the maximum values of the cost. The product cost taking the selected maximum value as the minimum value and taking the selected minimum value as the maximum value is output.
