PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a heat developable photosensitive material free of occurrence of coating streaks or coating unevenness, having excellent coated surface condition, and having high density and little fogging. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a heat developable photosensitive material having an image forming layer containing an organic silver salt, a silver halide, a binder, and a reducing agent on a support and a protective layer on the image forming layer, is characterised in that a coating material for the image forming layer is treated with an ultrasonic treatment apparatus, the top of the support is coated with the treated coating material, and the top of the undried coating material for the image forming layer is coated with a coating material for the protective layer superposedly.
