PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel capable of preventing the retention of static electricity on a glass substrate of the liquid crystal panel with one coating operation, and to provide a projector provided with the liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: A panel body 40, in which a liquid crystal 41 is held between a pair of glass substrates 42, 43, is formed. An outer periphery of the panel body 40 is surrounded with a panel frame 50, thereafter outer surfaces 46, 48 of the panel body and an inner periphery 56 of the panel frame are coated with a transparent conductive coating material 9 so as to connect the outer surface 48 to the inner periphery 56.
