PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductor and an oxide superconductor conducting element having small change in junction characteristic by improving the junction strength between the oxide superconductor and a metal. SOLUTION: This oxide superconductor is with its surface at least partly coated with a metal film and its surface roughness is 0.2-150μm by maximum height roughness Rz and has voids on its surface, and this oxide superconductor conducting element is prepared by electrically connecting the part, which is coated with a metal film, of the oxide superconductor with an electrode terminal via a connecting medium metal.
