PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper post-treatment device capable of exactly aligning paper at a predetermined position in a paper conveying passage extending substantially perpendicular to an installing surface of the paper post-treatment device. SOLUTION: The paper post-treatment device conveys the paper discharged from an image forming device and carries out a post-treatment. The paper post-treatment device is provided with a paper conveying means for conveying the paper along the paper conveying passage extending substantially perpendicular to the installing surface of the paper post-treatment device; a conveying stopping means for stopping conveying of the paper in the paper conveying passage; an abutment release means for releasing the abutment of the paper conveying means and the paper in the stopping state of the paper by the conveying stopping means; a paper dropout prevention means for preventing the paper from dropout by own weight in the state that the abutment is released; and an aligning means for moving the paper to the paper conveying direction and/or a direction perpendicular to the paper conveying direction and aligning at a predetermined position in the state that dropout of the paper is prevented by the paper dropout prevention means.
