PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for shielding a hull opening that can assure an effective height that is available within a store room for the deck height of the hull. SOLUTION: This device 1 for shielding a hull opening having a door 5 for shielding a hull opening 3 includes a pair of knuckle type track ways 10 placed along the opening 3 and a hull sealing component 19, a trolley 7 running on the track ways 10 via an upper roller 32, trolley driving means for driving the trolley 7, door upper end supporting means connected to the upper end side of the door 5, for supporting the door 5 against the trolley 7, and a lower roller 8 connected to the end portion on both sides of the door 5, being guided by the track ways 10.
