PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stencil printing with stable print density from the time of starting a printing process, in a stencil printing method for performing the stencil printing using various kinds of inks having varying volatility and viscosity. SOLUTION: Information indicating the volatility and viscosity of ink is stored in a storage means 8 of an ink container 10, and the stored information indicating the volatility and viscosity of the ink is read out. A suspension time lasting from the suspension of a stencil printing operation to its resumption, is measured and a printing pressure is controlled in accordance with information on the suspension time and the volatility and viscosity of the ink.
