PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas separation membrane structure capable of improving gas separation efficiency by making the surface area of a gas separation membrane per a unit volume larger, a gas separation membrane assembly, and a gas separating apparatus. SOLUTION: The gas separation membrane structure 1 comprises a gas permeable substrate 2 having a hollow section 3 and the gas separation membrane 5 disposed on the surface of the substrate 2. The substrate 2 has a hollow cylindrical form and has a plurality of collars 7 extending outward from its external side face 6. This invention includes one or a plurality of the gas separation membrane structures, the gas separation membrane assembly provided with a sheet-like base board where one end of the gas separation membrane structure is disposed, and the gas separating apparatus mounted with the gas separating membrane assembly.
