PURPOSE: A deflection yoke and a saturable reactor used in the same are provided to reduce costs by reducing parts count and assembly labor, while maintaining deflection correction characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises a saturable reactor including saturable cores(1a,1b), impedance control coils(2a,2b) wound on the saturable cores and connected to a horizontal deflection coil, a magnet(5) for providing a magnetic bias to the saturable cores, a magnetic core(3) for forming a closed magnetic path(6), and a saturable control coil(4) wound on the magnetic core, and which allows a vertical deflection current to flow along the saturable control coil.
