PURPOSE: A broadcasting switching apparatus and method for automatically switching advertisements, games and TV broadcasting programs according to a schedule are provided to broadcast a local advertisement stored in an advertisement database during advertising time through a sky wave. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting switching apparatus includes a broadcasting signal receiver(410) for detecting and amplifying an intermediate frequency from a broadcasting signal and separating video and audio signals from the broadcasting signal, a bit detector(450) for detecting start and completion signals of broadcasting programs and advertisement broadcasting programs from the intermediate frequency signal, and a broadcasting schedule storage unit(470) for storing a broadcasting schedule. The apparatus further includes a controller(460) for controlling a tuner(411) according to the stored broadcasting schedule to broadcast a corresponding program and receiving the start and completion signals to broadcast an advertisement program during advertising time, an advertisement database(480) for accessing a stored advertisement to broadcast the advertisement, and a switching unit(490) for selecting one of the video and audio signals of the broadcasting receiver and video and audio signals output from the advertisement database. The apparatus also has an audio signal processor(420) for amplifying an audio signal selected by the switching unit and outputting the amplified audio signal to a speaker, a video processor(430) for processing a video signal selected by the switching unit and outputting the video signal to a monitor(440), and a communication modem(500) communicated with a central control center(510) through a network including the Internet to receive advertisement program information and control information from the central control center. |
