<p>A papermaking machine has a wet felt press with inner (3) and outer (4) woven layers formed of longitudinal and transverse threads (5-8). The threads (5-8) are not interwoven over the width of the matrix, but are linked at the outer margin (9, 10) by transverse binding threads (15-20) in the vicinity of seam loops (11, 12). The binding transverse binding stitches (15-20) do not increase the density of the transverse threads (5, 6). Binding transverse threads (15-18) are incorporated in addition to the transverse threads present in the inner (3) and outer (4) layers. The transverse threads (15-18) are interwoven with alternating longitudinal threads (7) and the inner layer (3), and one or more alternating transposed threads (7, 8), forming part of the outer layer (4).</p> |
